How much does it cost?

$79/month if you pay annually (saves you $240/year), or $99/month billed monthly. One Pro plan: 5 active jobs, up to 3 team seats, unlimited candidates per job, watermarked videos, and platform-mediated messaging. No usage fees.

Is there a free trial?

Your first job posting is free — no card required. Post a job, invite candidates, watch a few videos. If it works for you, upgrade to keep posting. No trial countdown clock, no surprise charges.

What is the 3-month minimum on monthly plans?

Hiring takes time. The monthly plan ($99/mo) commits you to 3 billing cycles so you actually get through a hiring round, not just one panicked week. Annual ($79/mo) has no minimum because you already prepaid.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your dashboard in one click — access runs to the end of the current billing period and the subscription will not renew. All sales are final; we do not offer refunds. (Monthly plans honor the 3-month minimum even after cancellation.)

How is this different from Indeed or ZipRecruiter?

Indeed sends you 50 resumes from people who have never held shears. We send you 5 short video answers from people demonstrating actual skill. Use Indeed for sourcing if you like — we are the filter that runs after, not before. Most shops save 6.2 hours per hire.

How long does it take to hire someone?

Typical timeline: post the job in 60 seconds, invite candidates by email, candidates record within 48 hours, you review and shortlist in under 10 minutes, and message your top picks the same day. Most shops hire in 5 days from job post to offer.

Can I post for multiple shop locations?

The Pro plan covers one location. If you have 2 or more shops, you currently need one subscription per location. We are working on a multi-location plan — email support@groomer.video to be notified.

Are videos protected from being shared?

Yes. Every video plays back with an on-screen watermark showing the viewing organization and a per-session token. Candidates explicitly agree (in our ToS) that their video is for evaluation by your shop only. Cloudflare Stream signed URLs prevent direct download.

How does messaging work — can candidates contact me directly?

No. All messaging is platform-mediated until you accept a candidate. Their email and phone stay redacted in your inbox. After you click "Accept," contact info unlocks for both sides. This protects you from poaching and protects them from spam.

How does hiring radius work?

Set a radius (5–100 miles) from your shop ZIP. Groomers within that radius see your job posting in the public list, and you see them in your candidate browse view. Outside the radius is filtered out automatically — no need to manually screen for distance.

Do candidates need an account or app?

No. They click a signed link in your invite email, upload a CV if they want, record their answers on any phone or laptop, and submit. That is the entire candidate side — no account, no app, no friction.

Can I customize the five interview questions?

Yes. Start from our grooming-specific template library or write your own. Each question has a configurable max length of 30–180 seconds. Common picks: "tell us about yourself," "handling an anxious dog," "your specialty cut," "speed vs quality."

Can my team review candidates with me?

Yes — your Pro plan includes 3 team seats. The kanban board syncs live via Supabase Realtime, so stage changes, ratings, and notes show up instantly for every reviewer. Bring your manager and your lead groomer in.

Do you run background checks on candidates?

No. groomer.video helps you evaluate skill and fit through video — we are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. If you want a background check, run one separately with your usual vendor (e.g. Checkr, Sterling) before extending an offer.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your candidate videos, notes, and ratings stay archived in read-only mode for 90 days — so you can re-download anything you need. After 90 days the data is permanently deleted unless you reactivate.

Where are the videos stored?

Cloudflare Stream. Videos are delivered over adaptive HLS, signed per-org, and never touch our servers during upload. SOC 2 + ISO 27001 certified infrastructure.

Do you integrate with ATS systems?

Not yet — we export to CSV today. Direct Workable and Greenhouse integrations are on the 90-day roadmap. Email support@groomer.video to vote for which ATS we should ship first.
